Either way, it looks like the only injuries suffered were to one or two people's egos!

It is rather difficult to imagine that the "general public" even knows the existence of such persons as "former" JWs:
- and even more difficult to believe that they might actually care!
Health Professionals who are engaged in the counselling, psychology and similar fields, though, may be a different matter. Although the Jehovahs Witnesses make up only about 1/1000th of the world's population, they are very much over-represented amongst the patients of such professionals (This, according to a number of such counsellors that I have known) .

Add to what you have just said the observation David_Jay has made on other posts that the religion did not come as a result of the scriptures, but rather the other way around. That is, the religion was already well established before the writings were completed.

As an Ex JW now, how would you react if you met your Bible study conductor?

since then i had been an atheist and trying all i can to spread awareness for “still in” members.
my wife and mom are still jws and i do get along with them perfectly.

I am not at all sure how I would react, although I am in no doubts what I would really like to say to him.
That would include such things as what he said about 1975, how he stopped me from going to university, and later how he made me abandon my apprenticeship. (Or in general, how he managed to screw my life around).
However, I know that if we were ever to meet up again, this person would not even speak to me, so none of the above is going to happen!

Why does this forum tolerate Cold steele and his mormonism beliefs ? Who`s next ?
by smiddy ini thought this forum was for people who were ex jw`s and pro jw`s and the like to debate ,discuss and reasonably talk about our differences ,and sometimes drift off into politics world events and whatever.. however over a period of time i have come across cold steel `s many posts which are nothing more than promoting his mormon religions point of view./beliefs what has that got to do with jehovahs witnesses and the concerns many have with the jw religion.?.
it seems to me he is using this forum to promote his religion and is getting away with it over a long period of time.. how long before other cult religions see this as a springboard for promoting their own religion such as .
sda`s ,christian scientists , christadelphians ,beroean bible students ,etc.etc.. where will it end if he is able to keep doing this ?.

God of the Old Testament
by unsure into those on these forums who are christian and or to those who believe in the god of the old testament; how does one overcome many of the questionable actions god took or allowed to happen in the old testament?.
many if not most of us have heard of criticisms of the god of the old testament.
you can find these criticisms on many websites.. how do you explain to an honest hearted person why god acted the way they did?.
